Sunday Spotlight: With Confidence

For our spotlight artist this week, we selected the Australian pop-punk trio With Confidence. Formed in middle of 2012 and hailing from Sydney, Australia; With Confidence has become one of the household pop-punk names. The current lineup consists of lead vocalist and bassist, Jayden Seeley, drummer Josh Brozzesi, and guitarist Inigo Del Carmen. Though having formed in 2012, the trio has only released two EP’s as well as two LP’s. The EP’s “Youth”, and “Distance” have both been self-released records, whereas LP’s “Better Weather”, and “Love And Loathing” have been released under the label, Hopeless Records who they are still currently signed to. The band has cited some of their musical influences as The Dangerous Summer, All Time Low, Blink-182, Kings Of Leon, The Strokes, and La Dispute, among others. Their debut album “Better Weather” came with a lot of praise and recognition for their classic, yet modern pop-punk sound coupled with the mental health theme for the album.

Over their time as touring band, they have had the pleasure of touring as support for some amazing acts while also having headlining runs all over the globe. They have supported the likes of Tonight Alive, Marianas Trench, The Maine, State Champs, The Wonder Years, and the worldwide renowned 5 Seconds Of Summer. They have also been on some headlining tours with bands like ROAM, Seaway, and Set It Off that have all three made themselves quite big names within the alternative scene of music. They have steadily grown in popularity as a band also through playing festivals such as The Vans Warped Tour, Slam Dunk Fest, Unify The Gathering, and Tape Deck Fest. They have always seemed to impress with their live shows, playing their fan favorites, keeping the energy high, and always requesting the most participation from the crowd.

As a band, these guys have become one of the most popular and tightest bands out there today. We do not have any word yet as to when they will be releasing a new album but, I think I can speak for all of us fans when I say that we cannot wait to hear what these guys have in store. They have some serious potential and can be one of the next huge bands in pop-punk if we see the revival of pop-punk that we are all hoping to see of it.
